Electricity
Electricity is supplied at 220 to 230V 50Hz. Outlets are the European standard CEE-7/7 “Schukostecker” or “Schuko” or the compatible, but non-grounded, CEE-7/16 “Europlug” types. Generally speaking, U.S. and Canadian travelers should pack an adapter and a converter for these outlets if they plan to use North American electrical equipment in Austria.

Visas
For more information please contact your nearest Embassy, Consulate or local travel agency well in advance. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Insurance
The IFMAD meeting organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to meeting participants (or their accompanying persons), either during, or as a result of the meeting. Registration does not include insurance. It is strongly recommended that you check the validity of your own insurance or that you purchase an insurance in your country of origin.

Letter of Invitation
The letter of Invitation meant to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, or inform their institution/origination/hospital about attending the congress, and does not represent a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support. The venue of the congress is Hilton Vienna Hotel, Am Stadtpark 1, A – 1030 Vienna, Austria

Distance and Directions
Distance from the Airport to the Hotel is 11.6 mi. Drive time 20 minutes.
By Public Transport — The Hilton Vienna hotel has a direct airport connection via the city airport train (CAT), opposite the hotel. You can also take the ‘Schnellbahn’ heading for Floridsdorf. Exit the station at Wien Mitte, which is directly next to the Hilton Vienna hotel.

By Car — From Vienna International Airport take the highway A4 Ostautobahn in the direction of Vienna. Take the exit Zentrum-Erdberg at the end of A4 and continue on the access road Schuettelstrasse. Drive straight ahead for about 2.5 km until you arrive at the Aspernbruecke. Drive over the bridge and turn left into the Stubenring – Parkring (passing the Stadtpark on the left). You will see the “Huebners Kursalon” at the end of the Stadtpark. Turn left into Johannesgasse. Drive to the 2nd traffic light crossing, approx 200m. Turn left into Am Heumarkt and drive 150m straight ahead. The garage entrance the the Hilton Vienna hotel will be on the right hand side.
